Autex Insulation - Customer Case Studies
‘Zero Energy House’ is an Autex case study of home owners Jo Woods and Shay Brazier, who made the choice to build a zero energy home to reduce their energy usage and bills. They used Autex Greenstuf insulation to keep their home warm and maintain internal temperatures at stable conditions. On average 30% of a home’s energy usage is on heating or cooling, by using a double layer of Autex Greenstuf insulation Jo and Shay’s ‘Zero Energy House’ had an exceptionally high thermal performance rating.
Autex Greenstuf was chosen as it is a polyester fibre batt which retains its thermal performance over its lifetime and comes with a 50 year guarantee. Autex insulation is made from a minimum of 45% recycled bottles and endorsed by the asthma foundation.
