Bradford High Tack Tapes - 20m Roll

Bradford High Tack Tape is a single sided aggressive adhesive tape that is ideal for use as an air and water tight seal on Enviroseal RW and CW vapour permeable construction membranes and as a vapour barrier around pipes, windows, overlaps and penetrations. Bradford High Tack Tape is long lasting with a resistance to plasticizer migration. It is free of solvents, chlorine and formaldehyde. The elasticity of the High Tack Tape copes well with limited building movement and thermal expansion.

Step by step

Summarised from the Bradford Enviroseal HighTack Tape, Technical Datasheet (Revision level D, published 07/2021). Work from the full guide: it has the drawings and every detail. Open the full guide (PDF)

1Prepare the surface
  • Make sure the surfaces are dry and free of surfactants, release agents such as grease or oil, and dirt or dust.
2Check the temperature
  • Damp or cold membrane surfaces are hard to bond to; let them dry and return to between +5 °C and +35 °C before applying the tape.
3Apply without tension
  • Cut the tape with a knife, cutter or scissors and apply it tension-free.
  • Do not apply the tape under mechanical load or stretch it; carry the membrane load with evenly spaced mechanical fasteners, as tape is not a substitute for fixing the membrane to the structure.
4Press it down
  • Press and rub the tape down firmly, ideally with a squeegee or other flat, smooth surface for even pressure.

Keep the tape in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry place below 25 °C, including part-used rolls.
