Yes, leftover insulation packs may be returned to Pricewise Insulation if they meet certain requirements. You can find our Returns Policy on the delivery information page.

New Homes and Renovations

If you require a free take-off and quote, please send a copy of your plans and energy report to sales@pricewise.com.au. The easiest way to work out how much insulation you need is to:

1. Calculate total area to cover
2. Deduct the windows and doors
3. Deduct 10% for wooden framing

If you are installing insulation for the first time, then be prepared for a bit of wastage. Instead of deducting 10% for framing, you might want to deduct 5%.

The R-Value of thermal insulation measures how resistant the insulation is to heat transfer. A higher R-value means a higher insulating rating. In other words, the higher the R-Value, the better the product is at insulating your home. This means less heat loss in winter, less heat gain in summer and increased savings on your energy bill year round.

If your home is built with timber joists, then this will reduce the number of square metres that you need to buy. This is because the insulation fits between the  joists. Actual m2 = How many m2 per pack Coverage = How many m2 each pack will cover (+10%) For example, one pack may contain 10m2 of insulation batts, but will cover up to 11m2.
