Foildboard is a durable rigid panel specifically designed to achieve exceptionally high thermal values. Unlike traditional bulk insulation and blankets, this rigid panel will not shrink, sag or droop, ensuring that the building performs to its optimal thermal value from day one, to year 25 and beyond. The cost of a Foilboard panel typically depends on the selected R-value (also known as R-rating), however bulk order discounts are available. In addition to creating a thermal barrier around your home, foilboard has high acoustic ratings and can be installed internally with plasterboard or externally with cladding to create a relaxing living/work space.

Features of Foilboard Insulation
Foilboard insulation can provide immediate weatherproofing when used on externally framed walls, allowing for internal trades to proceed without waiting for brickwork or cladding to be completed. The best time to install Foilboard insulation is after the frame, bracing, roof, fascia, flashing, windows, plumbing and frame inspection is completed. It is recommended that all electrical wiring should be done after installation of Foilboard.
Foilboard insulation does not delaminate or breakdown in wet and windy conditions as no paper based products are used during the manufacturing process. When installing Foilboard panels it is recommended to use water based adhesive to hold in place when fitting Foilboard between framing members. Aluminum tape is recommended to tape all joins to ensure the Foilboard remains weather tight.
