For cooler climates such as Canberra, we recommend increasing the R-Value in the walls to an R2.5, or even R2.7, in particular if external sound such as traffic noise is likely to be an issue.This wall Insulation is stiffened to fit snugly between standard spacing wall studs – both timber and steel – without sagging and should be installed at the time of construction before fixing internal lining.
