R-Value Of Concrete Slab

The R-value measures how well a building material (eg. a concrete slab) resists the conductive flow of heat. The R-value for an uninsulated concrete slab is approximately 0.1 per 150mm. A higher R-value means that the material has better insulation properties. A product such as 40mm Slabmate® Insulation will add R1.0 to the concrete slab.
