 An insulation’s ability to resist heat flow is measured by its R-value. So, the higher the R-value the more effective the thermal performance. Bradford Gold wall batts are available from R1.5 to R2.0 in both 75mm and 90mm thickness. All new homes built today need to achieve a six-star rating which means that insulation regulations in the Building Code of Australia (BCA) need to be meet. Selecting the required R-value for your home will depend on which climate zone you are living in. Remember that upgrading to a higher R-value means that you will have better heat flow resistance.
